Setting Up DocInspector on Windows 11 — Quick Start Guide

Getting started with DocInspector is simple. Here's your 2-minute setup guide.

Step 1: Download

Head to doc-inspector.com/download and grab the installer. It's a standard Windows .exe — no special requirements.

Step 2: Install

Run the installer. Accept the defaults or customize the install location. No admin rights required for per-user installation. No bloatware, no toolbars, no extra software bundled in.

Step 3: First run

Launch DocInspector. You'll see three main modules: PDF Repair, Audit & Security, and Reporting. Pick one based on what you need:

• PDF Repair — fix, flatten, watermark, or harden PDFs
• Audit & Security — scan folders, find metadata, shred files
• Reporting — generate Excel reports for folder trees

Step 4: Process your first batch
